An Evening with JT3 Art – May 14, 2009 Foundation Event held at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC
The Foundation held “An Evening with JT3 Art” at Jesse’s high school, Sidwell Friends School in D.C., during what would have been Jesse’s 10th year high school reunion. The evening included a showcase of Jesse’s innovative short films, live music provided by The Charles Wood Trio, light refreshments provided by Meriwether Godsey, information about the Foundation’s work to date, and recognition of event sponsors.
The purpose of this special event was to thank our donors, and give them an interactive opportunity to learn about the Foundation's work, and about Jesse’s life and work. We were also able to recruit additional volunteers, and potential sponsors to help support the Foundation’s mission.
Special thanks to our wonderful sponsors without whom this event would not have been possible.

October 26, 2008 Poland Spring Marathon Kickoff 5 Mile Run Participation -- Foundation Fundraiser on Jesse's Birthday
Jesse's film industry mentor and friend, Karla Nappi, organized a fundraiser that celebrated Jesse's love of sports and marked his 27th birthday.
An active athlete, Jesse was training to run marathons as a way of raising funds to help finance his next movie. As a special way to mark his birthday, and raise donations for the Foundation, Jesse's friends par
ticipated in the Poland Spring Marathon Kickoff run under Give Forward's Run for a Reason. Poland Spring's 5 mile run through Central Park is described as a kickoff to the NY Marathon. The NY Marathon occurred the following week.
We were honored to have Jamal White, a childhood friend of Jesse's, as our runner. Donations reached $575, exceeding the $500 goal for this fundraiser.
Thank you to Karla Nappi, Jamal White, and Rachel Cox for working on this event; Raphel Branch, Robert White, Marasan Festoff, Joe Gadecki, and Mildred Lee for coming out to cheer on Jamal; and to the donors for supporting the Foundation’s mission.
Here's a picture of Jamal at the four mile marker.
